The negative interpretation of certain dog breeds within the media has created fear within the public domain to call for particular breed bans.  However it would be unfair to label such breeds with the implication of such an act when evidently not all these types of dogs are dangerous to humans. 

The misconception of the term ‘dangerous’ dogs has created unwelcome stereotypes leading to social exclusion and avoidance by the general public. Yet characters with charismatic charm and affection to give are not that hidden from view, lying on the surface for those who deem to look.
